A hive of industry at Maison de Maitresse & Petite Maison

I was very fortunate recently to have Karen Dodds for 3 weeks from Whangaparaoa, N.Z. who was a tremendous help in getting all the gardens ripped out and earth replaced and new plants in place.

Karen worked like a trooper and also (when she had some down time) spent some sunlounger time beside the pool, practiced her French with the locals and did some exploring.

A recent resident of our lovely Village of St Maximin, Bruno from Paris, is now our resident ‘sober driver’ and general ‘rouse about’ and he is practicing his English as he is going to be driving one of the people carrier vans for our Culinary Tour in 3 weeks time - 10 ladies arriving from N.Z. for him to contend with.

My new house being built in the back garden is coming along well and tomorrow the second concreted floor will be poured. The view from the roof of the first floor is amazing. I will post some photos in due course.
